Yes, it’s true. Grandpa’s Bocce balls were
bigger. We want all ages to join in on Beach Bocce Ball games, so we’ve made our
balls smaller than traditional Bocce balls for easy playability. They’re
actually the size and weight of Petanque balls (the French version of Bocce) –
about 3 inches in diameter and about one pound in weight. And since there’s a
good chance you’ll play the game when you’re on vacation at the beach, we went
for festive beach ball colors that just scream sand, salt and sea. We do use
traditional Bocce rules, though, except for a few minor, beach-specific changes
and a few new strategy tips – like how to use piles of seaweed to your
advantage.
