Road trips are classic. Whether you’re road-tripping across the country or simply driving around your home state, road trips are always a good time. Grab a mini charcoal grill, some fold up chairs, and your SeaTurtle Sports Beach Bocce Ball and Yazoo sets and hit the road! Whether you’re roughing it with a cooler and some sleeping bags, or staying at the nicest hotels along the way, SeaTurtle Sports’ games are durable and as portable as they come. Our team members have compiled a list of our favorite road trips throughout the United States for all of you adventurers out there. Here it is:

#1 Eastern Canada

If you live in the northeast then this is the road trip for you: the ultimate eastern Canada road trip.

A Canada road trip is perfect for anybody who lives up north. Drive across the border and visit any of Canada’s 37 of national parks. If you live in the northeast, set your sights on beautiful Niagara Falls, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. During the late summer months you might even get to see the northern lights in Nova Scotia.

#2 Cape Cod

If you live in the Northeast, Cape Cod is the perfect final destination for a road trip. Catch the surf at some of the Cape’s best beaches such as The National Seashore or Marconi Beach or hit the turf and garb some of the finest fried seafood known to man at Cook’s Seafood or Arnold’s Restaurant. You could also check out the beaches and shops in the town of Falmouth or high tail it up to Provincetown on the tip of the cape which is home to the Pilgrim Monument, lively bars, and an eccentric crowd of people. Or you could catch up on your history and check out Plymouth Rock where the pilgrims first landed in the US or the renowned Plymouth Plantation, a living history museum.

#3 Big Bend

Another favorite is a road trip to Big Bend national park. Located on the border between Texas and Mexico, Big Bend is straight out of a Western movie. You can relax with a beer in the natural hot springs on the bank of the Rio Grande or you can climb the highest mountain in the park. And on the way you get to experience the wonders of west Texas. Looking for some great stops on the way? Check out: Tex-Mex in El Paso, The Marfa Lights, The San-Antonio Riverwalk, East 6^th Street in Austin, Cado Lake, and Black’s BBQ in Lockhart!

#4 California Coast

For all of you Westerners, take a drive up (or down) the lush Pacific Coast highway in California. Bask in the sun at Laguna Beach or check the surf up the road at Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach is also a great place to buy a board! Or you could hit the shops in Santa Monica or Malibu, which are beautiful towns to drive around in. Feel like getting some fresh air? Check out the Redwoods National Forest on the way.

#5 New Orleans

Our last recommendation is a road trip down to our hometown: New Orleans. It shouldn’t be hard to convince your friends to drive down to this special city. Of course your first stop will probably be the infamous Bourbon Street, known for its rowdy bars and vibrant drinks, but if you want to see some real New Orleans, walk to the end of Bourbon Street and check out Frenchman Street to see some of the city’s best jazz bands. Feeling hungry? Stop by Frenchman Street’s Dat Dog for a gator sausage. Or checkout Jean Lafitte National Park and see some gators for yourself.

Other To-Dos: National WWII Museum, City Park, Take a Ferry down the Mississippi River, The Maple Leaf Bar on Tuesday’s to see Rebirth Brass Band, or Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop: the oldest bar in the United States and home to the ghost of Jean Lafitte, a legendary pirate and the establishment’s previous owner. Or experiment with some Cajun cuisine!
