Easter happens to be the eighth most celebrated holiday worldwide. Aside from the religious foundation of Easter, who doesn’t love a good Easter egg hunt or an excuse to have some extra time to play SeaTurtle Sports’ games with family and friends? For those of you based out of our hometown of New Orleans, we put together a list of our top three suggestions for events to attend over the upcoming Easter weekend. With all three events being held at the same time, the question is which one will you choose?
St. Charles Parish 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 4th, registration starts at 9:30 am.
This event features a hat contest along with three egg hunt divisions and prizes for each age group for the hat contest. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available for $5 and it is asked that a $2 donation be made to help fund programs for St. Charles Special Athletes.
Mandeville Market Easter Celebration
Saturday, April 4th, from 10 am to noon.
This event will involve music, magic, and tricks on a stage, coupled with a petting area featuring rabbits and other small animals. The Easter Bunny will also be present. For parents, mini massages will be offered.
Historic French Quarter Easter Parade
Saturday, April 4th, starts at 9:45 am.
Commencing at Arnaud’s, this Easter parade has been an annual New Orleans event since 1956 throughout the historic French Quarter. Participants of the parade and guests dress up in Easter bonnets, high fashion, and more.
Whatever you choose for your Easter weekend activities, enjoy your time with family and friends and stay safe.
