Beach Bocce Ball: Not your grandfather’s balls.
Yes, it’s true. Grandpa’s Bocce balls were bigger. We want all ages to join in on Beach Bocce Ball games, so we’ve made our balls smaller than traditional Bocce balls for easy playability. They’re actually the size and weight of Petanque balls (the French version of Bocce) – about 3 inches in diameter and about one pound in weight. And since there’s a good chance you’ll play the game when you’re on vacation at the beach, we went for festive beach ball colors that just scream sand, salt and sea. We do use traditional Bocce rules, though, except for a few minor, beach-specific changes and a few new strategy tips – like how to use piles of seaweed to your advantage.
